Lloyd Edward Fulton, 77, of Buena Vista, Colorado since 1995 passed away on March 24, 2017 in Buena Vista. He was born on April 2, 1939 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Francis Edward and June Evelyn (Thon) Fulton. He married Lavonne Irene Reher on June 22, 1963 at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Lloyd attended St. Patrick’s School in Wyandotte, Michigan from Kindergarten through 12th grade, finishing his last month at Grand Island Central Catholic School in 1957, when his family moved to Nebraska. He also attended Hastings College for one year and Kearney State Teachers College for one year. Lloyd worked at Case New Holland for 30 years before retiring in 1995, and moving to Buena Vista. He was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club, a member of Wildlife Forever and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Buena Vista where he served as Hospitality Minister. His interests and hobbies centered around the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking with his family and friends. Retiring and moving to the Rocky Mountains was a lifelong dream that allowed him to pursue his dreams to their fullest.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Lavonne Fulton of Buena Vista; four children, daughter Lynn Hughes (Mike) of Buena Vista, son Brien Fulton (Robin) of West Bloomfield, Michigan, daughter Barbara Laub (Brad) of Grand Island, Nebraska and son Lonnie Fulton (Angela) of Lincoln, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Allen Hughes (Kenda) of Brazoria, Texas, Cheikh Fall (Rachel) of Arapahoe, Colorado, Emmett Laub, Emily Laub, Abigail Fulton and Eric Fulton; two great grandchildren, Jabrie and Nylan Fall and his sister Dorthea Seat of Cold Water, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday March 30, 2017 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Buena Vista with a reception to follow the Mass. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
